Erin Uritus is CEO of Out & Equal—the premiere organization working exclusively on LGBTQ+ workplace equity. A leading voice on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, or DEIB, Erin has pushed the conversation on LGBTQ+ workplace equity from the adoption of inclusive policies towards what she calls the “business of belonging,” that is, the creation of optimal cultures in which everyone can thrive. Today, Erin leads Out & Equal’s efforts to provide Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations with the tools and training they need to foster such cultures. Since she became CEO in 2018, the number of Out & Equal’s corporate partnerships has tripled. In addition, the organization has expanded its global footprint, with a growing presence in Latin America and Asia-Pacific. One of the few out bisexual chief executives in the country, Erin brings decades of private sector leadership to her role at Out & Equal. She has supported government leaders navigating modernization at Booz Allen, advised a major Middle East government restructuring in the midst of the Arab Spring, and supported business development of new international schools in the Middle and Near East. Erin holds a Masters in Organization Development from American University, and two Masters certificates in Change Management and Performance Management from Johns Hopkins and Georgetown, respectively. |
