Jezel Huston is an Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Jezel has served as Deck Watch Officer, Combat Information Center Officer, Vessel Traffic Supervisor, and Prevention Officer. As a Federal employee they are a Marine Inspector; tasked with upholding foreign and domestic regulation to promote safety at sea. Jezel serves Chief of Staff for Out in National Security, a bipartisan, DC-based, non-profit, dedicated to empowering queer national security professionals. Jezel also serves as a communications liaison with a West Coast organization focused on advancing next-generation leaders within the Philippines and the Filipino people through their advocacy and expertise in various disciplines. Jezel holds a B.A. in History, an M.S. in Aviation Administration, and an Executive Masters in Public Administration. Beyond professional and educational arenas, Jezel is passionate about Diversity & Inclusion, personal and organizational leadership paradigms, connection, understanding people’s stories, human betterment, and travel. Jezel is able to balance their dynamic pursuits with a fulfilling personal life largely to the credit of their wife of 20 years. Together they have two incredible sons and an awesome chihuahua-weenie dog mix. |
